BARRY & BERYL

Barry & Beryl is an animated, improvised comedy about an unhappy elderly couple.  They live a simple life in Western Sydney and dislike basically everyone, including each other. Their children have long moved away and they now spend the days arguing over their mundane lives.

 This short is set entirely in their car driving home. Beryl has been forced to pick up Barry from the pub because ‘double demerits’ are on that weekend. Beryl has terrible eyesight and is causing problems on the road, including running down a pedestrian. They soon get pulled over by the police for the hit-and-run so Beryl and Barry pretend to have dementia in order to evade their punishment.
